An article by Richard Sarll is to be published in the journal, Shipping and Trade Law.  The article provides a summary of York-Antwerp Rules 2016, the latest edition of the contractual regime governing the ascertainment of general average contributions.  Richard, who is an Associate of the Association of Average Adjusters, was appointed to a sub-committee of AAA convened to respond to a consultation upon the drafting of these rules by Comite Maritime International.  The article is co-authored with another AAA associate, Alex Kemp of HFW, who sat on an equivalent committee convened by British Maritime Law Association.

On Thursday 21 July 2016 Richard will be presenting a lecture to Associates of the AAA and members of “Lloyd’s Marine Under-35s” on the York-Antwerp Rules 2016 together with John Macdonald of Macdonald Hebditch & Co Ltd, a firm of average adjusters.”
