Peter MacDonald Eggars KC and Richard Sarll will be speaking at the 19th International Colloquium run by the Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law (IISTL) in Swansea from 11-12 September 2024.
This year’s event is devoted to Commercial Insurance Law, and will debate emerging trends, issues relating to insurance practice, and new approaches to traditional insurance doctrines and principles.
Peter and Richard will be speaking as part of a session on day two (12 September) on Contemporary Doctrinal Issues chaired by Sir Bernard Rix, Former Lord Justice of Appeal, International Judge of the Singapore International Commercial Court. Peter’s paper examines: “Pre-Contractual Duty of Fair Presentation under the Insurance Act 2015- All Clear?” and Richard will look at the “Construction of Warranties in the Post-Insurance Act Landscape”.
The Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law (IISTL) exists as a specialist research and professional training centre within the School of Law at Swansea University, promoting research and teaching of the highest standard in international shipping and trade law, fostering co-operation with other academic institutions and professional, commercial, shipping, insurance and business organisations.
