Submarine cables and Admiralty law: a guide to cable damage claims.

An article by Richard Sarll concerning the pursuit of claims for damage to sub-sea cables appears in this month’s edition of Lloyd’s Shipping and Trading Law.  The article aims to provide a comprehensive but succinct guide to these claims, which are increasing in number.   In 2017 alone Richard was instructed in relation to 4 incidents of cable damage.  The guide considers the application of admiralty law and private international law.  It will also be of assistance in relation to claims for damage to subsea pipelines.
