7KBW is delighted to announce that The Hon. A J Meagher SC has been appointed as an international judge of the Singapore International Commercial Court for an initial period of two years.

The SICC is a division of the General Division of the High Court and part of the Supreme Court of Singapore, enhancing Singapore’s international standing as a key legal and business hub in Asia, as well as a leading centre for international commercial dispute resolution.

Tony qualified as a barrister and solicitor at Minter Ellison in 1976 before being called to the Bar in Sydney in 1982, becoming a Senior Counsel in 1995.

He offers a wealth of experience, having served as a judge on the New South Wales Court of Appeal for 13 years until his retirement in August (at the time of his retirement he was the senior puisne judge).  During the same period, he also sat on the New South Wales Court of Criminal Appeal.
