In this case, the Court reviewed the principles applicable to an application for a stay of proceedings in relation to a claim by London Reinsurers for a declaration of no liability to a Philippine reinsured in respect of a shipowner’s alleged cargo liabilities arising out of the loss of a ferry during Typhoon Frank in 2008.
