7KBW welcomes three new tenants

7 King’s Bench Walk is pleased to announce that Joseph Rich, Dave Barnard and Charles Littlewood will join as tenants with effect from Wednesday 20 September 2023 following the successful completion of their pupillage in Chambers.

Their practices will cover all areas of Chambers’ members’ core specialisms in commercial dispute resolution including international arbitration, insurance and reinsurance, shipping and shipbuilding, commodities, jurisdiction and conflict of laws, civil fraud, energy and natural resources, professional negligence and aviation.

Joseph Rich was formerly an associate in the international arbitration group of a leading US law firm and has spent a year as a judicial assistant in the Court of Appeal. He has a double first in French and Spanish from the University of Cambridge and placed in the top ten in the year on the Bar Professional Training Course at City Law School.

Dave Barnard read Law with Canadian Law at the University of Nottingham, during which he studied at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver and he represented various pro bono clients in Courts and Tribunals. Dave has a keen interest in shipping and insurance, and he became an Associate of the Association of Average Adjusters in 2022.

Charles Littlewood read Modern and Medieval Languages at the University of Cambridge and holds an MA in European and Russian Studies from Yale University. Upon completing his legal studies at City Law School, he spent several months immediately prior to pupillage working as a legal researcher for counsel appearing in ongoing litigation before the International Court of Justice.
