7KBW will be sponsoring the 7th MLAS Maritime Mooting Competition being held in Singapore 15-24 January 2025.

7KBW has supported the moot since its inception. N G Casey KC who will help judge this year’s final round, commented that “7KBW has supported this competition for the last seven years.  We really enjoy hosting the winners for two weeks in London; and hope that it is valuable for them. It certainly is for us.  As a leading shipping set, we are delighted to develop our network of relationships with such talented Singaporean lawyers and to support the Maritime Law Association in this event.” 

The winner of the final round – to be held on Friday 24 January – will win a two-week internship with 7KBW in London during 2025 with costs covered by 7KBW.

The Maritime Law Association of Singapore (MLAS) was established in 1991, it aims to promote the study and advancement of maritime law and its administration in Singapore, and to promote and consider with other associations proposals for the unification of maritime law and practice of different nations.

 The MLAS is a member organisation of the Comite Maritime International (CMI).
