7KBW will be sponsoring the 6th MLAS Maritime Mooting Competition being held in Singapore 17-25 January 2024.

 7KBW has supported the moot since its inception.  Stephen Kenny KC who will help judge this year’s final round, commented that “7KBW is delighted to be supporting this competition again this year and delighted to be able to offer the winner the opportunity to join us in London.  As a set of barrister immersed in shipping and maritime disputes, we value greatly our international connections with those shared interests such as the MLAS.” 

The winner of the final round – to be held on Thursday 25 January – will win a two-week internship with 7KBW in London during 2024 with costs covered by 7KBW. The Maritime Law Association of Singapore (MLAS) was established in 1991. It aims to promote the study and advancement of maritime law and its administration in Singapore, and to promote and consider with other associations proposals for the unification of maritime law and practice of different nations.

 The MLAS is a member organisation of the Comite Maritime International (CMI).
