7 King’s Bench Walk is pleased to announce that Jocelyn Plant and Gwyn Williams joined Chambers as tenants following the successful completion of their pupillage in Chambers. Their practices will cover all areas of commercial litigation and international arbitration.
Before joining Chambers, Jocelyn practised in New York as a senior litigation associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. In that role, she represented and advised corporations and financial institutions in connection with complex litigation, internal inquiries, and regulatory and criminal investigations. She was additionally a judicial law clerk to Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella at the Supreme Court of Canada (2018-2019) and to Justices David Tysoe and John Savage at the British Columbia Court of Appeal (2017-2018). Jocelyn holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (Distinction) from the University of Oxford and a Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia.
Before coming to the Bar, Gwyn qualified as a solicitor and practised in the London offices of Cleary Gottlieb and WilmerHale. In that role, he acted in commercial litigation across a range of sectors, including financial services, aviation, energy and technology. He also worked on arbitrations under ICC, LCIA and SIAC rules. Gwyn holds a BA in German and Music from Durham and an MPhil in Music from Cambridge. He later completed an LL.M at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Thouron Fellow and a research assistant at Wharton Business School.
