On 4 May 2026, Sir Clive will address a seminar programme of AFSA, the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa, entitled Arbitration in practice: bridging domestic and international practice in Southern Africa. He will speak about Enforcement of South African arbitral awards in the UK and overseas and the scope of the fraud/public policy exception to enforcement.
On 5 May 2026, at Johannesburg Arbitration Week, Sir Clive will be part of a roundtable discussion at the Sandton Convention Centre with South African senior counsel and South African current and former judges on Arbitration Through the Eyes of the Bench: Practice Pitfalls and Perspectives.
JAW takes place from 5 to 7 May 2026 at the Sandton Convention Centre. It is hosted by AFSA and co-hosted by leading law firms and other stakeholders. The theme for this year’s JAW is Arbitration in a fragmented global order: the future of trade, investment and sustainable development.
