7KBW is pleased to announce that Richard Sarll has become a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIARB).
This follows his obtaining a Diploma in International Maritime Arbitration and is the latest in a suite of accreditations relevant to maritime dispute resolution. Richard is an external member of the Institute of Maritime Law, Southampton University. He holds an Advanced Diploma in shipbroking and chartering from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. He is an Associate by examination of the Association of Average Adjusters. In addition, Richard is a co-author of Carver on Charterparties and a co-editor of Lowndes & Rudolf, General Average and York-Antwerp Rules.
Richard is available for appointment as arbitrator in disputes relating to shipping, commodities, and marine insurance, as well as general commercial disputes. As a Supporting Member of the LMAA, he is eligible for appointment whenever an arbitration clause calls for arbitration by members of the LMAA (but not Full Members), or else where it makes no mention of any required qualifications.
