Harry Wright will discuss “Insurance Law in a Changing World: Practical Insights of Maximising Protection” alongside Pippa Rudman, Client Executive at Marsh and senior members of the Clifford Chance insurance litigation team on Wednesday 29 October at an event run by Clifford Chance.

Insurance is central to every company’s risk management, but recent global events have exposed both strengths and weaknesses in how policies respond when it matters most. With the Insurance Act now firmly in place and the legal landscape shifting as a result of insurance cases concerning the Covid-19 pandemic and the invasion of Ukraine, it is more important than ever for businesses to understand how to secure the cover they need and ensure claims are paid.

The session will focus on the following topics:

  • The latest developments in insurance law and what they mean for your business
  • Practical steps to take when buying insurance and making claims to maximise your protection
  • How the Insurance Act is being interpreted in practice, ten years on
  • Lessons from recent high-profile cases, including those arising from the pandemic and the Ukraine conflict

Venue:  South Place Hotel, 3 South Pl, London EC2M 2AF

Time: Registration from 6pm and the session will begin at 6:30pm, followed by a drinks reception until 10pm
